The Brown Book

The Brown Book was a typecasting blog dedicated to the poetry and prose of Henri Bergotte. This is now a defunct pseudonym.  For the current writing of the person known as Henri Bergotte please go to Thank you.

  1. I just found your site via Strikethru. I like the two poems you’ve posted. I’ll be checking back for more.

  2. Do you have any collections in print? I’d like to read more of your poems if possible.

    • I do not. I have many poems but nothing has been printed in any formal sense. I’m trying to keep this blog to just newly-created works, but I’ve been working a lot lately and time seems less and less available.
Perhaps you know of a good publisher?

      • I don’t. In fact, I’ve only sent stuff to a couple of places and have yet to have anything accepted. Being a product of the late-punk rock, DIY, zine-era, I’ve been thinking of just making my own collection. Anyway, if you ever need anyone to read a bunch of stuff (poems) or you just feel like sharing past poems with someone new, I’d be up for it.
